I use wordpress on my blog, and want to move it to a different host. Am trialling my other domains host before I move the domain.

I have created a database, changed wp-config to have the details of my database / host. Running the page the first time it couldn’t find the database because it’s not localhost. I’ve got the details and changed the line, now loading install.php it seems to run a sript then says Done at the bottom of the page, and I get a blank screen. No error messages, no content, nothing!

    Any ideas?

I’m here with the same question. I tried changing the config back to “localhost” and got the expected error message. I went to the dashboard and wrote a post – it shows “1 post saved” but when I “view post” I get a white screen.

I think I’ve found the answer (at least for my blank screen)
I went to “presentation” and found that no themes were available. I went to wp-content/themes/, and found no “themes” folder… somehow, it stayed in my computer while FTP moved everything else. Once I FTPd the ‘Themes’ folder to wp-content/, the blank screen problem ended
