• is there a shortcode that just translates the page or post where the shortcut is written?
i saw something in the settings

    Single language usage in
    nav menu/pages/posts

but it just said: “Spanish” in my text… not even clickable.

I dont want to translate my whole site but just a post. if i use the [google-translator] shortcut i get a button that translates my meny and sidebars too.
Also in the button that comes up i can not choose to set it to off…

a resetbutton or “default” between the languages would also help… or a shortcode that just translates that piece of text where it is placed.

  • Hi sanderbelou, for now I only know of a way to prevent translation on one single piece of the website. But I don’t know of a way to translate ONLY one piece of your site, unless I were to add some custom CSS directly to your website.

In the future I might add an interface to allow you to choose certain areas of your site, but as of now it is not ready.

Also, I believe the most recent update should fix the other issue with the link not being clickable. I’m sorry for that inconvenience.

Let me know if you are able to fix.

    Thanks, Rob

    thanks!
    I used something else ??

Hi sanderbelou, would you mind sharing your solution? Did you use another plugin for this?

Also for hunterF, you can prevent translation on a single element by adding class="notranslate" to that HTML element.

That will prevent translation on all items within that element.

    Thanks!

Also, sanderbelou – I will be working on a function that targets only a specific area of your site. I’m currently thinking through it, I’m certain that in the upcoming few months it should be available.

Thanks for using the plugin either way!
