• Hello I am having a few issues with the responsive side of setting up this site. It is my first website and due to having moved the navigation bar away from where the theme suggested i place it I am struggling to now make it a responsive site where the bar sits against the banner like it does in full screen, it now seems to jump about the page. Could anyone please help me to make it more responsive and better functioning please?

    Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure what you mean, when I resize my browser the nav bar sits where it was in desktop mode, and then eventually turns into a drop down list on mobile.

I am looking for the nav bar to remain intact with the banner sitting just underneath it through all screen sizes, but to me it jumps and doesn’t look very professional. Also the other issue I have noticed is that on different pages the nav bar appears to move slightly and I am unsure as to what is causing that? I am a complete newbie but am really keen to learn

I’m sorry I can’t replicate the issue. Can you provide information on your browser?

I am using firefox version 32.0.1 currently. Are you able to see that the nav bar moves around for the 3 different pages?

I can see that it remains centred

I have just looked in chrome and ie and noticed that the nav bar sits on top of the banner, however in firefox it is sitting under the banner which is what I am after. I have really messed it up somewhere but not sure where

Do you know the screen size, in Firefox, that the nav sits below the banner?

Basically it sits underneath the banner in all screen sizes however as the page size changes it moves further and further away until the nav sits in the middle of the text.

I updated FF to version 32 and still couldn’t replicate this, maybe it’s something to do with an addon?

Is there any way of adding screen shots on here or do i need to upload and link to another site?

So this is the nav fullsized it sits inside the banner which I don’t want

This is the nav on another page fullsized the nav is under the banner which is what I am after

This is now the nav when the screen is half size moved quite away from the banner

This is then the nav when the screen is at its smallest and it is way into the text. It is worse on my main page though.

    Hope this helps

How strange! To clarify, have you tried deactivating all of your browser addons?

To be honest I don’t have any addons apart from internet security, shockwave and my graphic card. But none of those would interfere would they?

I don’t think anything other than addons would interfere. Have you also tried clearing your browser’s cache?
