404 error (under construction) after install

  • I have my website hosted by ipage.com and used there plugin.
    I got WP install and a theme selected but when going to the website, I get the ” under construction” error.
    Ive tried recreating a database and updating it to 4.0, I can access the dashboard so I cant figure out where the problem is at.

    Anyone can help?

  • Consult your hosts FAQ and new user documentation for instructions on how to remove the default “under construction” page. I seem to remember something about removing or moving a “Home.html” file with iPage, but they will be able to tell you for sure which one it is.

    Perfect! that worked! I actually was wondering why there was a index.php and .html file.
