Search Results Within Sidebar Content

    By default, does Relevanssi search content within sidebars? I have several sidebars on my site that use the Text widget to display text-based content. I’ve noticed Relevanssi doesn’t seem to find text content stored within my sidebars. Can this be corrected? Am I doing something wrong?

    I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance!

    No, Relevanssi doesn’t search content within sidebars. The sidebar content is not connected to particular posts, and Relevanssi is based on posts. Since the sidebars are usually on every page, which page Relevanssi should return when a search matches a sidebar?

    If you have sidebar content that is specific to a certain page, it is possible to make Relevanssi find it, but it takes a bit of programming. Let me know if you want to hear more about that.
