Slider went missing

    Hi guys! I thought I’d come and ask the experts here, since I’m having some trouble figuring this out. I was working on my site, a store, when suddenly realized the image slider from the homepage went missing. After this happened I also tried adding an image slider to other pages from the site, but none are showing, even though I add pictures to the slider, etc.
    I already tried deactivating all of the plugins that I’ve installed, and then activating them back one by one. No difference at all. I really need help since I have undone practically everything I remember doing before this happened. Thank you in advance.

  • Hey,
    So it looks like you’ve made your home page the woocommerce shop page which overrides the theme options and any page template. Meaning you can’t have a slider on the page that is set as your shop page for woocommerce.
    To be clear there are options for this in premium but not in free.
    You can create a child theme and add a script to the product archive template or use a slider plugin and add a slider to the page content in the shop page.

    Well, what I don’t understand is why I did have the slider on the homepage with woocommerce installed and products showing on the first page, and now it doesn’t show up. I must have done something to deactivate it because the slider was indeed showing and now is not.

    You can use woo commerce shortcodes in your home page content: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

    Then make your home page a different page then the shop page and your slider should show. Settings are in the theme options > slider settings.

    Thank you so much! I ended up adding the meta slider plugin, which has always worked wonderfully for me and it solved my need! Thanks!

    How do I retrieve old sliders? The slider went missing and I am not sure if I deleted it or something. It was flex slider using Meta Slider.

    As for your issue from your link I see a lot of errors on your site. I would start by deactivating plugins. And see if that clears things up.
