All Comments Disappeared and No Comments Can Be Left

  • A few days ago, I was getting log-in error messages, but I managed to fix the problem (it seemed anyhow). Once I was able to log-in, I deleted a couple of spam comments out of my trash. When next I visited my blog, ALL of my thousands of comments had disappeared, and since then, no one can leave a comment on my blog at all. Next to each post, however, the number of comments left (previously) still shows up. I tried de-activating all of my plug-ins, but it made no difference.

    In my desperation, I was hoping for magic, and something like that happened. When I logged in a day or two later, all the comments were there again. Basically, they disappeared for about three days and then, one Monday morning, came back. Maybe it was a WordPress issue that got solved somehow, but I have no clue. All technological problems should resolve so easily!
