Unable to login to WP Admin

    I built my site recently without any problems.
    Today, whilst attempting to iron out a few small problems, I downloaded the newest version of WP and an update on the theme I have been using.

    Since doing the updates I can no longer change or update any of the pages on my site.
    So I tried logging out and now cannot log back in again.
    My password doesn’t work anymore and I’ve tried to reset, but when I follow the link I just get a blank page, which is what I was getting before when i tried to update stuff.

    I’m at a loss as I can’t log-in at all

  • First, try disabling the theme you’re using by logging into your site using FTP, go to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the folder of the theme you have activated (the one you just upgraded). This should make the site go back to a default theme.

    If that doesn’t work, it’s possible that a plugin is causing issues. Go to /wp-content/plugins/ and rename every folder in there. This will disable all plugins.

    If that solves it, you can re-rename plugins and then activate them again, one by one, to see if any of those caused the issue.
