Onepage Theme development

Hello.

I’d like to develop my own themes, a simple blog is easy to do now
And theres alot of information on the forums.

But i have a few questions about a single page wordpress theme:

1. How do i get multiple content blocks on the main ( index.php ) page?
Index.php
<section id=”home”>
Content Home here
</section>
<section id=”about us”>
Content about us here
</section>

I dont really like to use plugins because i think you learn alot
more by developing your own code.

Meby i add more questions later if thats allowed.
