Speed up search result to appear?

    I love this plugin however no body is using it as the query for grabbing tags is to slow between each keystroke and since it re-queries between every keystroke it never appears due to no one sits and waits for 1 second in the search box without hitting the enter key.

    Is there anyway to keep the result to appear while you’re tryping or speed up the way the result appears so people start using it

    Unfortunately I haven’t come up with a way to improve the ajax response without using non-standard WordPress methods. One thing you can do, however, is to change the Autocomplete Delay value. By default it’s set to 500 milliseconds in order to prevent queries from being run on every single keystroke. If you set that higher it will wait longer before running the query to make sure that the user has finished what they were typing. Setting it lower and it will run more frequently while they are typing.
