Can't get it to work – nothing shows up

The mildhpress site doesn’t seem to be running cookie law info. If you have disabled it, could you leave it running for me to take a look? If you think it should be running then either you haven’t enabled the plugin (most likely), or your theme isn’t using wp_head and wp_footer (both are mandatory functions for wordpress themes)

The mkagency site- I’m not 100% sure right now but could you please try disabling all the plugins and restarting them one by one? You should try an isolate the issue that way. More on troubleshooting to be found at https://www.cookielawinfo.com/troubleshooting.

I suspect the issue is the caching plugin that you’re using, or perhaps the comment in the cookielawinfo block (bottom of page) that starts “// Edit 09/05:” – you could try a quick hack which is to remove the entire comment, or just wrap it in /* a comment block */ like this. If it is that then let me know and I’ll release a minor fix.

I can live with not having the plugin on the mkagency-site. That was just for testing.

But the plugin has been enabled on the mildhpress site and the site also uses a header (header.php) and footer (footer.php). I must admit that I’m not a real programmer anymore – that I leave to professionals. So I’m not sure why you’re saying “wp_footer” and “wp_header”? What can I do to fix the issue? Any suggestions?

I assume in that case you’re trying to get it to work on the mildhpress site. This site doesn’t seem to be running cookie law info at all. That is probably because the plugin isn’t activated correctly. You need to install the plugin, but there is an additional step to activate it. If you go to the installed plugins page, check that it has been activated. If it is definitely activated, then there may well be an issue with your theme. Because it’s happening in your WP dashboard it’s not something I can test or check remotely, so that’s about as much as I can help you with I think- a programmer should be able to check for the wp_head() and wp_footer() functions for you.
