I tried changing the options you mentioned. But the home title remains the same

Then the problem is with your theme. Your theme is using output buffering and those two options are supposed to get around this but not all themes obey those settings. You can contact your theme developer and see if they have a way to deactivate output buffering so that All in One SEO Pack can write title tags.
