Hi. I have a problem in image uploading.
my website language is persian which has characters almost identical to arabic.
the thing is, when i upload images via nextgen, seems it trims a part of filename (first part in my case) and uses the rest. so my images miss first word of them.

i attached 2 images here:

first one shows my image uploading page where i choosed files:

note the file names.

second one shows them in gallery i created above.

as you can see part of file name is missed.

also there is no problem when i upload images via builtin wordpress media/gallery.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

@euphoria360 – We still have a few residual issues with non-latin characters in file names (and possibly some RTL issues that may be making them worse?).

It may be easiest for you to send us a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site specifics so we can get a closer look at this issue. We will likely need log in (and FTP) credentials for your WordPress installation, please send those with your Bug Report.

ok. i did it. thanks for the response.
Its weird tough no one with an non-latin language ever cared to submit this!

@euphoria360 – Thanks for the Bug Report (I see it in our inbox) … we’ve seen non-latin character issues (most, but not all have been addressed) but I do not recall anything that also appears to be related to the RTL nature of the language as well.

Hi. just wanted to know whats the status on the issue, since yesterday i totally stopped doing stuff on my host so there wont be any conflict.

@euphoria360 – The issue with non-latin characters has been a challenge to completely resolve, I would not recommend stopping what you are doing with your site although I would recommend a complete back-up on a more frequent basis for the time being.
