Server specs needed for this plugin to work?

    Hi,

    I installed this for a client and just could not get it to work – every time I sent a test email, I received the “Cannot connect via SMTP” error.

    So I tested it out on my own servers with exactly the same login credentials on a mirror site of my client’s, and it worked like a charm.

    I’ve been troubleshooting this with the hosting company, but I thought I’d come here and ask if there’s a specific PHP module or something that else that I’m not thinking of that could be required or might be stopping this from working.

    The server that worked was Site5 and the server that didn’t was LiquidWeb. So far, from a comparison of the installs, the only difference is that Site5 is running PHP 5.3 and LiquidWeb is running PHP 5.5.

    Any ideas, or pointing in directions to look into, would be very appreciated!

    It turns out there was a firewall blocking access to SMTP in case anyone else ever has this issue!
