Jetpack – Comments Pluign in Development Mode

Is there any way i can enable and test the jetpack comments plugin on localhost. Enabling it on the live website causes all sorts of alignment issues on my theme and incompatibility errors with some antispam plugins and I cannot enable the plugin in the development mode to fix these issues.

This is such a ridiculous and annoying limitation imposed by jetpack.
