• Hello Eyal,

Your plugin works really well but I have 1 more issue if you could please help me resolve this.. I am using your plugin on my website munchybox.co/ and when i do a geo-location to get my address the plugin includes this address is all subsequent pages… but the problem arises when you dont use geo-location but instead you enter in your address… when you do this it only uses that address to shows the search result but subsequent pages shows an empty address… is there a way to solve this so i am not asking my users to give their address twice… also i am using your add on plugin GMW Add-on – Current Location Forms which does what i am asking to since on that if i enter the address it picks it up and uses it in all subsequent pages but i am not able to embed that location form to do a search query so please let me know how i can have this resolved.. thanks a lot for always responding to all my queries… are you available for hire on specific requests on your plugin?

    Hi Sohinc,
I am not sure I completely understand your request.

When user enters an address in a search from and submit the form do you want this address to be automatically show up in the address field of the form next time the user open the search page?

Hello Eyal, Yes something like that… if you go to my site … https://munchybox.co/ and instead of doing geolocation enter the address 9802 Lakeview Pky Rowlett, TX 75087 and do a search… once the search results comes up click on one of the listing at the listing page look at where it says your location which will be empty since the location doesnt get locked in when you enter your address… now on the flip side… go back to munchybox.co and do geolocation and then if you click on one of the listings that comes up or go to any listing like https://munchybox.co/food/full-menu/pho-twins-full-menu/ you should see your location where it says “your location” so hope this makes sense now and hopefully you can have this resolved. thanks

What you are experiencing is not a bug but this is how it suppose to work.

The “Current Location” shortcode/widget only remembers the location entered via the shortcode’s form or when using the locator button of the search form which meant for getting the user’s current location.

When entering an address in the address field it is not necessarily the current location of the user and for that it is not being saved in the cookies. The address entered could be a destination address where I am going for dinner or a vacation ( ex. NY NY ) but the actual search I am doing from my computer at home which is in Florida.

GEO my WP 2.5 ,which should be released any day this week, passes the address entered in the search form via URL to the page of the location being clicked. So using that you can display the location using $_GET[‘address’]. Otherwise you will need to modify the js core file so the address entered in the form will also be saved in cookies.

FYI, you should use the official forum of GEO my WP for quicker respond time on support. I am less active on this forum.
