W3 Total Cache issues after removal

I installed W3 Total Cache plugin a few weeks ago which caused my network sites to vanish.. the white page of doom appeared, so I struggled to revive it and after a few hours of searching deleted the plugin via ftp and renewed the .htaccess file which seemed to be the issue.

However a new plugin I’m using to disable comments on my site is telling me that the cache plugin is still caching my sites and the changes I make in it wont show unless I clear the plugin cache! The issue is that I deleted the W3 total Cache the wrong way most probably and now don’t know how to remove the caching element that is effecting my sites. Any help with this gratefully received.
