• Hey there,

have a customer who wants each “rep” to have their own profile page and be able to edit it on their own (only theirs of course).

Based upon what I’ve read, your extension will do just this.

Question 1) Do you have a demo so I can see it in action (IE: From the end users perspective…they log in, they what….) If you have a video tut, that would work.

Question 2) Will this work with a front end editor? The ultimate goal is super simple but also security. We don’t need everyone seeing everything in the backend of WP (even if they cannot edit anything else, just seeing it is not good).

Question 3) Are you available for hire to install and configure if your extension can do the above two things?

  • mobicreative,

First of all you should know this plugin is no longer being supported by it’s author. I dread the day when a WP update breaks this plugin as the only other plugin that I know of that will accomplish this is the author’s new plugin but the author wants $$ for the add-on for the page/post edit role to work!

I use this plugin on a few private School sites giving the teachers their own page to edit. This plugin will do exactly what you want, I setup the teachers as “Subscribers” and then assign their edit rights to their page. As for what one of the Subscriber user has access to depends on what you restrict and the plugins installed. My Subscriber users see only Profile, Pages, Media and Dashboard in the Wp Admin side menu and nothing else, in the top menu the “New” link only shows Media nothing else.

There is a learning curve to this plugin, there are many options and settings, that at times are confusing, it took me a while to set it up as I wanted the first time.
