Redirects Not Working – Loads Back End

I enabled redirects, and in the redirects tab I added custom urls for the subscriber user (also tried other user levels) and each time I login from the front end it just loads the wp admin screen for that user’s profile instead of redirecting to the page on the front end I specified.
In the input field for a custom location to redirect, I’m putting in the full url with https:// etc. I assume that’s what it wants.
Is this a bug, or something I’m doing wrong? Thanks.
