Is it possible to use wordpress plugins in website templates?

I bought a wordpress gallery plugin from codecanyon, when I was going to use a wordpress theme for my website. But now I’ve found a website template that I really like and I think I will use that instead, however I still want to use the WP based plugin. Is it possible to somehow use the plugin in the template? It’s basically a gallery/portfolio plugin. I’d still like to use wordpress to ‘host’ the template although i’m not quie sure how to do that, but i’ll deal with that later. Thanks.
