    This is very strange. It may happen, I image, on fatal database errors during the update process. The newsletters experiencing that kind of problem are still in sending or sent status?

    Newsletter are in “sent” status. What’s odd is that opened statistics are kept.
    Since my client has admin rights on newsletters, could it be that triggering the newsletter engine resets the counter even if no emails are sent?

    No, the only thing that explicitly reset the counter is the “abort” button. So what you see is really strange. When the sending is completed, the total count is updated with the effective number of emails sent. Both number are zero? aaa/bbb?

    Statistics are not directly connected with the counters, and cannot be deleted.
