Cant display regular blog page

Hi,
I got a blog where I post youtube movies and some text about the clip.
I use a plugin to make my youtube clip a featured image, and set that post as image format, beacuse I want my first page to show those featured images.

My problem is, that when I have only images format posts, my blog page look the same as my home page, with nine thumbnails showing. I want my blog page to look like an ordinary blog.

I can manage this by setting my post to standard or video format, but then it doesnt display the thumbnail on my first page. Is there a solution for this?
