How to get a plugin running

I used a theme called https://www.presslayer.com and cannot seem to get the slideshow running for any type of reason. In the developer’s info section, there seems to be a “page builder” which I did use but whatever I do, I cannot get the slideshow up on my homepage. Any help would REALLY help. Thanks.
