Since version 2.x changed the format, I created my own template. This was fine until I ran into these two serious problems:
    1) The new update wiped out my templates. How is one supposed to upgrade with custom templates?
    2) Worse, if your shortcode is referencing a missing template (mine was since the upgrade wiped it out), the page containing the shortcode does not load, rendering the page useless. It seems it could better handle this error condition without totally failing the page.

    Can you please help?

    Sorry for the issues.

Can you send a link to the page in question and ideally a website login to [email protected] so I can check it out?

    Hi Zack,
I sent you the information the day you requested it, to the email above. I wanted to be sure you received it.

    Zack,
Thank you for your email response. Putting the template files under my child theme, and overriding an existing template name solved the issue.

If I has read your documentation, I could have saved you extra time looking at this…it was my error.

    Thanks for the help!
