CSS3 Animations – Only working once then dying

Hi Everyone,

I’ve been working on the CSS file of my 2012 Child theme. The latest change I’ve made is adding a CSS3 Animation which makes the drop down (nested) menu fade in slowly when hovered over(the css code is below for reference).

This only works (i.e. the menu only fades in) once immediately after the page is loaded. After that every time I hover over the link the nested menu drops down normally, as if there was no animation.

Can anyone offer advice as to why the css3 animation only works once each time the page is loaded and whether there is any way to fix this so it works everytime?

Any and all advice is much appreciated(css is below for reference).
