• I want to change our Coraline blog (blog.gThankYou.com) from 3-column (“content-sidebar-sidebar”) to 2-column (“content-sidebar”).

Is anyone able to tell me what will be retained, how it will be laid out and what will be lost when I do that?

Also, am I able to make this change without losing the current CSS changes?

    Thank you. Rick

You shouldn’t lose any data when switching layouts.

If your widgets from the third column don’t automatically move over into the second column after the layout switch, check the Inactive Widgets area in Appearance > Widgets and they should be there. You can then drag them over into the second column’s widget area.

Your CSS itself should not change. If you’d targetted any elements like widgets within the third column using the third column’s unique ID, you may need to adjust the CSS once the third column is gone.

Let me know if you have any other questions. You can always test this out first on a localhost install with Coraline to see how it goes.
