    Hi All

I had a problem with my theme where the layout builder wasn’t working.

The solution suggested on their support forum was to add some code to the wp-config.php file.

I went onto the FTP and edited the file with this code.

Before saving the file a message appeared saying “wp-config.php may contain features that are not compatible with Text (Tab delimited). Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?”. I then clicked “Yes” to save.

I then got this error, when trying to access the site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/idy01/public_html/albatrosgolf.co.za/wp-config.php on line 22

I went back and removed what I entered but the error still shows.

I am a complete novice at this. I assume that the saving of the file with the compatibility issue caused this?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

try a fresh (unedited) copy from a fresh download

    Solved the issue

I didn’t use the correct editor such as Notepad++ to edit the wp-config.php file.

Therefore when I saved it, the code saved incorrectly which caused the error.

If you ever have this problem, make sure that the php file type’s default program is Notepad++
