Move/Migrate sub domain to main domain

    First off, I want to apologize for my ignorance. I’m new at this. When I signed up to create my first site through Hostgator, I created my domain (Supportgroupsgalore.com), then created a subdomain (test2.supportgroupsgalore.com) within which I added all the content.

    But now I’m presented with a problem. I want the site to have the main domain URL on the Internet. I have not yet tried any of the suggested ways of migrating, moving, or transferring data (not even sure which of those terms best captures what I will need to do! ha!)…mainly because I’m not quite sure about terminology.

    I’ve read “Giving WordPress its Own Directory.” I’ve seen it suggested to many people with similar issues. What I need to know is:
    1. is this where my solution lies?
    2. if so, which of the step-by-step instructions should I follow?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
