    Hi,

I am migrating a WP site from one domain to another and I am doing it on localhost, first, to test things out.

I have downloaded the original site and am running it on localhost.

I copied all files and I copied the database (from original site to localhost).

I edited wp-config and I used a tool to replace all instances of ‘old-domain’ to ‘localhost/new-domain’. the tool:

    https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

Everything seems to be fine – site looks just like it did on its old domain and I can see all the content in the admin area/dashboard.

The only thing that is wrong is that I can only reach the home page only. I click on a link and it redirects me to root of my server (localhost/xampp). I have typed in the URLs manually, to make sure, and it does it anyways. The pages definitely exist and the URLS/permalinks are correct.

    Anyone know what’s going on?

    Thanks
