• Hi,

I’ve been using WordPress for my site for a while and suddenly this Infolinks shows up highlighting a lot and spaming my site. I have no idea how it hooked up because I have never downloaded it. I have WooDojo and Jetpack but they look profesional enough as not to use this kind of third party system.

Any way, how can I remove it?

    Thanks!!

    – First off scan your site for malware: https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/

If no malware is detected, then try:

    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

Hi Jacob, this is Pamela from Infolinks. Infolinks isn’t a malware so we never come onto your site without permission. You have to physically place our code on your site for it to work, as we’re not on your computer either. Did you recently purchase this site? Maybe the previous owner used Infolinks? Otherwise it could be an issue of fraud, in which case I suggest you write to our Customer Support Team so we can figure it out and have it stopped right away. You can contact them at [email protected]. Best of luck!
