• I’ve SP 1.0.2 and have installed WP-Mail-SMTP and properly set it up. I have set the SMTP return-path to follow the From Email. Send test email with SMTP works fine.

Now, in SP Settings->Sending, I tried to send Test Email to gmail, hotmail and yahoo. Gmail and hotmail received successfully, but not yahoo. The Debug Info shows the return-path to be empty, i.e. “CLIENT -> SMTP: Return-Path:”. It seems Yahoo mail is more particular about this.

I’m sending emails via my website (not gmail or godaddy).

How do I set the Return-Path to use the same sending email address?

    Appreciate any help.

We support custom SMTP in pro but can’t help with the free version and a third party plugin. I think some have gotten it to work, but it’s very easy in pro. We also support other 3rd parties and api sending as well as bounce handling in pro.

    Hi,

do you mean that this scenario I’m facing with the return-path is normal? If that is the case, then I’ll find workaround. Thanks.

Not sure if it’s normal, but others have had issues with that plugin. If you search the forums you might find the answer.

No worries. I’ve already patched it in functions.php fill the sender field correctly. Thanks.
