Add Padding to Top of Social Media Icons

Hello,
I’m wondering if you can help me. I installed the plugin and added the social media buttons, but they are right underneath the title. I am wondering if I can add padding with CSS. I have to be honest and I don’t have much experience working with stylesheets so I’m not sure where to begin.
