htaccess is not writable

maybe you need to set as 755 the permission of .htaccess’ parent folder.

Now Can you update .htacces manually?

Yep I changed the .htaccess file to 777 and then was able to activate cache and the required settings, then changed the permissions back to 664.

Hi There,

I’m having the same issue. I have set to 755 in FTP but it tells me my HTACESS. Also if i try and delete cache is says

Permission of /wp-content/cache must be 755

Can you help?

Sorry for the lat reply. I have changed the permissions to 755. I can edit my HTACCESS file from FTP, but that doesn’t work. Can you PM me so i can give you login access so you can look?
