Cannot remove primary sidebar on single CPT

Hi,

I have used all variants of the following code in my single CPT template to remove the primary sidebar on this page (in order to replace with a new one) but I cannot get it to remove.

remove_action( ‘genesis_sidebar’, ‘ss_do_sidebar’ );
remove_action( ‘genesis_sidebar’, ‘genesis_do_sidebar’ );

Any help would be much appreciated…
