I’m using 2.0.6.2 version of the plugin and I struggle to setup correctly my old feeds.

In the “old” times I had a feed to display events for a given period of time, let’s say from 1.01.2013 to 1.07.2013 – there were two fields in the configuration where I could put these two dates and it pulled only the events from that period.

Unfortunately, after the upgrade, I lost this functionality. The fields are no longer present there and therefore I cannot grab the events for specific time period.

I tried using the “seach query” field to add “start-min” and “start-max” to the calendar link, but it didn’t work. I just pasted the full link with the query attached in the url field, but this didn’t work as well (and actually started to show the “present” events twice within the same feed).

This is the query that I use to retrieve events from the past, you can see it works. (it’s in Polish, but what matters is that it have some data)

Is there a way to achieve this behaviour in current version of the plugin? That was a very useful part of it and now my calendars are broken (except for the “current calendar”. Thanks in advance for the help – I tried to search for an answer, but couldn’t find anything helpful. ?? [probably have missed it, because this seems to be quite common scenario to use the plugin]

You are correct that the old options are no longer there. We have taken those ones out. Now there are some different options to be able to set start and end times. They are almost all relative to the current time though now, so unfortunately it makes it difficult to set it up for a specific date range like you mention.

If this is an essential purpose of this plugin for you then we definitely want to hear from you. Here is a link to our Roadmap where you can vote and talk about the plugin features.

It’s slightly counter intuitive to use the search query to grab only the events from the past, while the plugin still tries to display the “most relevant to current date” events. xD

Is there a way to somehow prevent this from happening? I don’t mind changing the source of the plugin if that is required (I hope that it’s not against any license though, I really like the plugin and don’t wanna break the law xD), but it would be easier if you could point me to a file/function to which I should make a change, so it won’t bother setting the date to current and just display the events as they are available. This is a crucial thing for me, as I’m using google calendar to schedule events and my users expect to be able to browse through the old ones as well. Because the events are scarce (one every two weeks), the default grid view is not optimal and I choose to display the events in the list.

I will definietly take a look at the roadmap to see what else are you up to, maybe there will be some features that will help me with improving the user experience of my site. ??

    Thanks!
