Trouble with manually updating plugins. Desperately need help.

A plugin recently broke my site and the plugin has been fixed. So I need to manually update the plugin since I cannot access my site.

Because I am new to this, I have read multiple guides and watched numerous videos.

Using 3 different FTP clients, I connected to my site; however, I was not able to find any “wp” folders. Instead one file .ftpquota was in the Root folder and nothing else.

Any help is appreciated.
