Could you elaborate a bit more? There’s an EDD extension being created by another developer called “EDD Booking & Appointment Plugin” if that sounds more like what you’re after.

Basically I want Front End Submissions and EDD to function just like it does out of the box with the difference being when a vendor signs up they can add a product with multiple dates / timeslots. For example:

    Product 1 Name: Vocal Lessons
    Descriptions: Learn to sing!
    Price: $45

    Availability:
    – Decemeber 12th, 2014 | 1:00pm -2:00pm
    – Decemeber 12th, 2014 | 2:00pm -3:00pm
    – Decemeber 12th, 2014 | 3:00pm -4:00pm
    – Decemeber 14th, 2014 | 1:00pm – 2:00pm

    Product 2 Name: Guitar Lessons
    Descriptions: Learn to play guitar!
    Price: $65

    Availability:
    – November 12th, 2014 | 1:00pm -2:00pm
    – November 12th, 2014 | 2:00pm -3:00pm

Users can purchase one of the available timeslots in each product. Once a timeslot gets purchased that particular time is no longer available (but the other timeslots in that product are).

    Make sense?

I did a google search for “EDD Booking & Appointment Plugin” but couldn’t find anything- do you have any idea when this will be ready or who is developing it? Maybe I could help them test it ??

Thank you very much for your replies ??

Thanks for explaining. That level of functionality won’t be added to this plugin, but the plugin I mentioned sounds like it could do the job. It’s currently being developed by an EDD developer, there’s no mention of it anywhere except our internal EDD developer board.

This is the developer’s description of the extension:

Would support viewing and booking appointments, similar to https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/appointments-plus/.

“..an option whereby people can sign up and reserve time in the shop, buying 10 hr passes, 40 hour passes, and 20 hr monthly passes (recurring). So I need a way for them to purchase a promo code that’ll allow them to book 10, 40, or 20 hour-long slots..”

hmm, by the sounds of that description it doesn’t sound like it would work for what i need as I am looking at 1 hour long sessions. Sounds like my best option would be to modify Front end submissions- what do you think?
    again, thanks for your help.

No problem. I’m fairly certain that the time would be customisable, and not limited to 10, 20, or 40.

Otherwise yes you could customise another plugin such as FES.

Oh OK, I see. If there was an ETA on that plugin I might be able to wait but I need a solution by Christmas- any chance you could ask the developer for a rough estimate of when it might become available? Thank you!

Sure thing, I’ve left them a note and will post back when I’ve heard from them.

    wow great thanks again!

The developer hopes to have it finished sometime in November. Provided it passes an audit it could be released in november or early december.

If you haven’t already, sign up to the EDD mailing list at https://easydigitaldownloads.com/. We usually send out a newsletter that highlights new plugin releases.
