Ok, so i have been testing this directory and i find it very interesting for a project i have. Only thing is this, when i put french translations files in there, most of back-end and front-end of directory went italic.

Tried changing themes, activating deactivating all plugins. No change. When a delete the translations, all is well.

But im working on a french site so i do NEED french translations. Have any idea what could be causing this?

Ok, well. When you have post it activates with no payment configured it does this. If you remove the post it check pox it stops. Is this normal behavior?

    Thank you ??

The odd thing is it does this only when I have a translation file in the language directory. If i remove the french language .mo and .po and revert to English it stops doing it.

So selecting “post-it” with french translations and not having any payment activated causes back-end and front-en to go italic.

    Weird.

    Hi hypnoscribe,

Sorry that you ran into issues here. I’m having a hard time following exactly what steps led to the italic-izing of the directory. Can you list out the steps you did to make this happen and we will test it on our side…

We have others using their own translation files and they’ve not reported this, so there’s something about your series of steps here that may be unique.

Also, can you tell me what version of BD and WP you’re running?

    Thanks for the reply.

Sory if you don’t understand me, it may be my English because I am french speaking so i will try harder.

I am running wordpress 4 and BD is 3.5.2.

    steps:

1-install BD (by default on installation “Offer sticky listings?” is activated even if “Turn On payments?” is not)

    2-install translations in language folder.

3- Problem appears: italic-izing of the directory

4- Unchecked “Offer sticky listings?” and directory comes back to normal.

Tried the same thing without the french translations and it does not do this.

My WordPress is a french installation.

    Also, pre-sale question.

If y buy the single-site pack, and want to upgrade to multi-site afterward.. How does this work?

I want to test the modules before going all-in.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi hypnoscribe,

Hmmm. OK. Have you tried a theme conflict test? Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

That may yield something as well.

As to your second question, yes, we always allow you to upgrade to higher levels of packages crediting the cost of prior purchases. That’s definitely no problem.

OK thank you for response, yes i already did the theme test. Same results.

Side-note: Are you aware of good web-crawler software to help me speed up things?

    Hi hypnoscribe,

I think we need to move the discussion to a more productive offline medium. Contact us here so we can talk about what’s going on and include a link to this thread: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/

I’m not sure what you mean by your second question–what are you looking to speed up here? Web crawler software isn’t really connected to the directory so I’m not sure I understand what your goal is.
