survey results by user

Hi!

I have the same problem on the plugin. The tab info per user is empty. I am using WP 4.0 in german language. The plugin is great but I need the user results mostly

The results by user only currently works if the survey Validation/Authentication is set to “User must be logged in”. Are you using this method to validate your surveys?

oh, then, no I was not using the auth method. A pity, I would have needed this functionality. But a great plugin anyway

No probs, I wrote the code that does the results by user and I didn’t really think of including the other cases. The site I use it for only has authorised users. I’ll rewrite it and send the code to Will.

Not sure how that’s going to work out, but the changes have been merged and updating the WordPress repo now.

Hi – I have the same problem as above with the new update.
Several issues actually:
1) If I try to edit a survey I get a message stating the name is already in use and then all I can change after that is the question text. I would like to change the settings for making a field required or not but no way that I can see of doing so.
2) I can see the survey stats under Your Survey Results but not who has left them – i.e. it just shows that 50% of people gave such and such an answer.
3) If I look under Survey Results by User I can only see the first survey out of the three submitted.
4) Also, under that same screen the first two questions are omitted, which happens in my case to be the name and reference of the customer.

I am not using authentication and if that is the only way this will work I’ll have to find something else, but hopefully it is something silly or can be fixed?
I have latest WP and all updates.

What auth method are you using for the three surveys? With v1.5.1 I have all three types showing up in the Survey Results by User. Do all three surveys have responses?

What question types are those first two questions? Just normal text fields? Do they not show up for any of the users who have responded?

I cannot get into the survey to edit anything now except the titles and answers (issue 1 above) but pretty sure I set it up with anonymous users as I collect that information as part of the survey in text fields and don’t want customers having to worry about logins.
So I have 3 surveys completed and when I look at “Your Survey Results” I can see them listed under each field where there are text fields, and I see percentages for the radio button questions but not sure what each one responded.

When I look under “Survey Results by Users” I just see one called “User 11” and questions 3 to 10 answers (which are all radio buttons) shown for just one user. The first two fields and the last one are indeed text fields but I cannot see the responses to those – only the radio buttons. And only for the one user called User 11.
Amy I doing something wrong?!
Happy to take this offline if you don’t want to clog up this forum with lots of back and forth questions and answers!

Aha – survey authentication method is none – just found it!

1) and 2) are expected behaviour. You can’t edit questions once you have responses to the survey as this could cause problems with your data.

Have there definitely been responses to the missing questions? Ideally I’d need to see the debug data for your surveys to understand exactly what’s going on. Would you be happy to provide that? You can redact any sensitive data if you want.

To get the debug data you need to go to: https://yoursite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=awesome-surveys.php&debug&survey_id=x where x is the id of a survey. You’ll then see an extra tab called debug which outputs all of the data stored for that survey. You’d need to do this for each of your three surveys (you can find survey ids on Your Survey Results).
