Plugin needed for listing posts on page

  • I’m looking for a plugin to list my posts on pages organized by category. I currently have “List category posts” but it’s too code based for me!
    I’m a complete newbie to this and I either need a simpler plugin or can someone give me the coding for what i want?
    Basically my website has three main sections, Recipes/Nutrition/Wellness. I currently have three pages on the site where the posts related to each category can be found but it’s a very basic looking list. I’d like it to have thumbnail images and excerpts of my posts so its more user friendly and inviting, somewhat similar to the blogroll at the bottom of the homepage! I want the design to work well with my site also

    If anyone can help, it’d be greatly appreciated and you’d be my hero!
