“Latest Pages” Excerpt in Front Page

Hi there, I’ve been digging around for days searching for a way to have the latest pages (not posts) listed in the front page together with their own excerpt.

Is there any “front page” plugin able to do stuff like it? If not… how to do this the hard way (I’m not a php programmer myself!).

I know WordPress is not a CMS… but this might be a great and probably not so hard to add feature. ??
