Link images to post

    So what I’m trying to do is have the pictures in my post excerpts link to the full posts. I know that I can go in and edit the pictures “Link To” so it links to a custom URL, but I don’t want the picture to ALWAYS link to the post. I also don’t want to have to go back through and edit every single post.

    So essentially – I want the pictures to link to the post when viewing the excerpt, but once you’re viewing the post, I don’t want the picture to link to anything.

    Is there a plugin that can help me do this, or a bit of code I can add to help me out?

  • Hi kylmorg,
    Are you conversant with child themes, the best way to get this done will be to create a child child and effect your changes there.
    It is something basic, can help out with it if you are not conversant with creating child themes.

    No, I do not use/have a child theme. I know that it’s something I should do, but I haven’t yet. I edit my stylesheets and other files often so I’m familiar with how that all works.
