Also the answer is … You’re trying to do something Multisite doesn’t want to do. Multisite is meant for multiple separate sites.

The Featured Image dialog only allows for picking directly from the site’s media library or uploading a new item and doesn’t support Add Media functionality such as Insert from URL. So the only way to do it is to literally import the posts, images and all, to the main site, which will get to pretty nasty site bloat.

What are you actually trying to do that makes you feel you need to show all the posts on one page?

Have you considered NOT using multisite for this?

I have a blog platform. Each author has a personal blog in subdomian. F.ex.:

You’re going to have to write your own code to pull in the featured image. Given that Ron talked about adding it and never did tells me it’s a pain in the butt. You MIGHT be able to do the same thing with a complex switch to blog set of calls, but I’m not sure how.
