No External Links Work

Well…I did look around, thank you. But as I stated in my post, my issue was with ALL external links. Not just the ones with a target=”_blank.” I thought I was being helpful. Next time I won’t bother.

Okay, don’t take it personally ?? It would be helpful if you could test the new version before it’s officially released, indeed! Thank you.

But what you need to remember is that often times, we come here only after spending HOURS trying to figure out why something is happening…what is affected? How is it affected? Does changing X, Y, Z cause the same problems?

Then deactivating and reactivating plugins and themes. This takes a long time.

I finally figured out that it was a plugin and which plugin. I come to this site looking to see if anyone else is having the same problem. I see that others are having a similar problem, but mine seems more “universal,” meaning its not just one kind of outbound link…but all of them no matter where they are on my site.

So I report it not so much to get you to fix it…but to let you know the problem might be bigger than just one kind of link. And I’m told that I should read more thoroughly. Sorry…..but yeah…that’s a little irritating. Please don’t respond back. It’s okay. I’m over it.

I know you asked me to not respond back, but please allow me to apologize for my initial “irritating” comment to your support request. It was unnecessary. Anyway, an update will be released on Monday, please let me know if it fixes the problem for you.

3.8.2 is out.

I hesitate to post this…but I upgraded to 3.8.2, and then 3.8.3 and my outbound links stopped working again. I deactivated your plugin and they began working once more.

3.8.2 solved my problem…3.8.3 caused it again. I know you have a newer version out and kudos to you for being on top of this. But I have to find another solution; perhaps I’ll revisit this in a few months when things calm down.

Version 3.8.5 is going to solve the issue once and for all. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
