I am just wondering if this plugin is still alive.
Meanwhile you can force it to work for your version of wp just updating the following line:
    define(‘QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION’, ‘3.9.3’);
    in the qtranslate/qtranslate.php
    with your wp version number.

I have also been waiting for an update and even sent the developer a few messages to find out if this plugin would ever be updated again. I never got any reply.

I’m very concerned about this as I have dozens of client websites relying on this plugin. It would be very unfortunate.

    A follow-up would be appreciated, Qian Qin…

I am still using WP 3.7.1, mostly because of this plugin, because my site was broken when I went from WP 3.6 to 3.7, I fixed it with that advice that PIMO advised (post #4)

I am not sure would that work with WP 4.0.1, but I don’t want to mess around with my website. Although I have backup, and I have experience with downgrading WP to an earlier version (thanks to this plugin ?? ), but again I don’t want to go there…

Maybe we should choose some other plugin, there are alternatives to this plugin of course…

    Hi,

I’ve tried several forks and all seem to be abandoned too (qTranslate Plus, zTranslate…)

The only one that seems to be working right now is this one:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/mqtranslate/

I’m trying it right now, and it seems to work fine.

    Mqtranslate is perfect!

It solves all my problems with qtrans in a very quick and easy instalation process!

Thank you very much for the let us know about existence of this plugin @almarma!

    hey guys ,
our developer used BuddyPress Multilingual and qtranslate , and now its working ,
i couldn’t ask him how he did that!
anyone have an idea how its possible?

    Try qtranlsate-x

It is being maintained and developer responds very fast to problem reports.

I used qTranslate for a while. I recently gave up on its development and am now using WPML. It was a pain to migrate but WPML works so much better.
