Trying to deactivate and can’t. I tested and retested again and again, deactivated, cleared cache, cleared browser cache, reactivated, cleared browser cache (Firefox, Chrome and IE), and deactivated again, etc. and this plugin is completely wiping out any theme and presenting site as text. Even tried switching to another then and back.
Now that I have this plugin installed, how do I uninstall it? Seems to have taken over my site. This is a new site with fresh 4.0 install and spent a couple of weeks adding other plugins and functionality. Are there instructions or trick to deactivating and getting rid of this plugin that I am missing on your “documentation?”

I want to deactivate partly because we are holding off our appointments. Hadn’t planned on uninstalling, BUT on searching support I discover that … after wasting days testing different booking plugins, the free version only allows 2 services. NO WHERE does any information on this plugin tell you that so you can decide whether to invest time on it.

On top of the fact that we can’t even deactivate the plugin, very very frustrating.

    What is the issue?

[UPDATE] I have finally deactivated this plugin. Discovered that it does not uninstall well when using W3 Total Cache, even though I had cleared all cache several times in my attempts.

Figured this out when comparing an earlier local copy of my site to the current.

Disabled W3 Total Cache and then Appointments Lite.

Glad to say that we are rid of this plugin.

    Hi @dougadan,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

After activating this plugin you can deactivate it easily the same way as you do for deactivating other general WordPress plugins by going on the following path searching the plugin “Appointments Lite” and clicking on the “Deactivate” link.

Admin Area -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins

I have also tried on my test site using W3 Total Cache plugin and found it’s getting deactivated without any issue.

[UPDATE] I have finally deactivated this plugin.

If we can be of any further assistance please don’t hesitate to ask ??

    Have a fantastic day!

    Cheers,
    WPMU DEV
