The payment and registration process

How easy is it to set up a streamlined payment and registration process with Paid Memberships Pro?
Currently I used s2Member and I hate it. I don’t have Paypal Pro so I can’t use the s2 Pro forms. But I don’t know php code and I can’t figure it out. So my customers have to go thru several steps to register in order to also get them on my aweber lists, and it’s a pain.
I have them do the aweber parts first, including the confirmation link and then it takes them to the payment page, and then after payment they are taken to a page to create their username and password for the membership site. It’s very confusing for them. I had an event in September and people were freaking out because they could not log in to the website. Hundreds and hundreds of them!! I had to send them an email explaining that they missed the final step – creating their login credentials.
Now, if I had them do the login credentials first, and then do the aweber opt in form, they would never finish that either. It’s just too many steps.
So does Paid Memberships Pro have this all in one step?? Or any way to cut this down (without special coding, please!)
