I’ve tried to upgrade from 3.1.1 but the installer chokes. I deleted that version and tried a fresh install from the plugin site of 3.2.1. That choked as well. It chokes in different places but ususally on copying a language file. As such:
    /public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/languages/jetpack-hu_HU.po
I am running on a quality hosting service that is tuned for WordPress. I would be happy just to install this manually. How can I do that?

    Thank you.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

You can install the plugin manually as explained here:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

Before you do so, I’d suggest checking if the plugin works, and checking how much space you have left on your hosting plan. Such errors often indicate that the plugin was updated successfully, but some of the language files were not copied because there wasn’t enough space left on disk. If you do not use Jetpack in Hungarian, that’s not really a problem, but if you’re about to run out of space on your plan, that could be an issue.

    I hope this helps.

I downloaded the plugin and it’s 8MB. I had 29MB of available disk space. The installed plugin is 22.8MB so that was likely the issue. I increased the disk space by 50MB. I attempted to install the plugin through the link directly to the plugin but that didn’t work. When I uploaded the plugin from my desktop that did work.

    So I’m all set. Thanks
