I am having issues removing the background image of my homepage. I did not set up this page, and have NO IDEA how to remove or even add a background image. Any help would be appreciated.

  • mtrobaugh: it may be a simple CSS adjustment. What theme are you using?… what is the website URL?

    Here is my page: https://www.insulatetosave.com

I would like to get rid of the house image in the center. Not only do i not know where to go to remove it, I can’t even find this image in the media gallery, so i don’t know where it came from. The template theme used is a blank theme, so this image was added at some point.

The image being used is actually within the theme images folder (https://www.insulatetosave.com/wp-content/themes/BLANK-Theme/images/home-insulation.png). And it appears the theme was customized to include it on the homepage.

Before you do anything to the theme, PLEASE make a backup and save it elsewhere.

If the theme does not have a customizer option (or a theme control panel) that is using that image, then I would recommend taking a look at the home.php file or fron-page.php file. The div has all the syling within it, rather than calling the style from your CSS file.

it is saying that my current theme is: Insulate to SaveVersion: 1.2
    By Nick McWherter

    Insulation Man Inc.

but i never changed it to that. I want to change it to:BLANK ThemeVersion: 1
    By Chris Coyier

This is just a BLANK starter WordPress Theme template — WordPress v2.9.1

when i click on Activate for that theme, it isn’t changing the theme back to the original. HELP!
