    Never mind.

    I put in place the following in functions.php:

    // Replaces the excerpt "more" text by a link
function new_excerpt_more($more) {
       global $post;
	return '<a class="moretag" href="'. get_permalink($post->ID) . '"> . . . Read the rest of this Post.</a>';
}
add_filter('excerpt_more', 'new_excerpt_more');

    would be cool if that was a function built-into the plugin.
